One of the most important components of our Environmental Stewardship and Mitigation Program is the real-time monitoring of the Carmel River. The flow rates captured at various points along the river allow the Monterey Peninsula Management District to actively manage this natural resource and its inhabitants.

Please Note: Data are provisional and subject to revision until they have been thoroughly reviewed and received final approval. Provisional data may be inaccurate due to instrument malfunctions or physical changes at the measurement site. Subsequent review based on field inspections and measurements may result in significant revisions to the data. Daily discharge is measured in cubic feet per second. Plots are maintained in Pacific Standard Time (PST) year-round.
