Permit to Work in the Carmel River
APPLYING FOR A CARMEL RIVER WORK PERMIT
River Work Permits are required before any person undertakes riverbank or riverbed protection, riparian vegetation removal, channel modification or activities prohibited by Rule 124 within the Riparian Corridor, except where such activity is expressly exempt from the permit process in accord with Rule 126 B. A permit must be obtained prior to the commencement or any work or activity unless that activity is defined as a “minor work” or unless that activity is an “emergency work”. Minor works may be undertaken in accord with the process set forth in Rule 127 A (4).
Emergency works may be undertaken in accord with the process set forth in Rule 127 B.
